Integrative Laboratory Services (ILS) was established in 2015 to support Canadian health care practitioners with simplified access to specialty and routine laboratory testing. ILS delivers a specialized, practitioner-focused service model designed to simplify access, reduce administrative burden, and support a growing community of integrative health care providers. ILS is a service division of In-Common Laboratories (ICL), operating within an established and regulated laboratory framework.
For nearly 60 years, ICL has provided Canadians with access to high-quality, reliable medical laboratory testing. As a mission-based, not-for-profit organization, ICL is focused on quality, access, and affordability, supporting hospitals and medical practitioners with the tools they need for timely diagnosis and patient care.
ILS builds on this legacy by extending ICL’s laboratory expertise into the field of integrative and preventative health care. As part of ICL, ILS operates within an established and trusted laboratory framework while delivering a specialized, practitioner-focused service model designed to simplify access, reduce administrative burden, and support a growing community of integrative health care providers.
Our Role
ILS is designed for integrative practitioners, including naturopathic doctors, nurse practitioners, and medical doctors, who require access to a wide range of laboratory testing across multiple providers.
We bring together specialty and routine testing from accredited laboratories into one consolidated service model. This approach reduces complexity and makes it easier for practitioners to access the testing their patients need all in one place.
