Clinical Utility
This assay detects and quantitates IgM- and IgG-class antibodies against Borrelia afzelii, Borrelia burgdorferi, and Borrelia garinii including ’round bodies’. Specificity is improved by detecting pleomorphic forms of Borrelia. The Tickplex technology has higher sensitivity than conventional ELISA.
