Clinical Utility
The US BioTek NutriStat Basic Profile is a blood- and urine-based nutritional assessment that evaluates 178 biomarkers across multiple categories including amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, toxic metals, intermediary metabolites, oxidative stress markers, and metabolic indicators using LC-MS/MS and automated biochemistry methods. The test may provide adjunctive information related to nutritional status, metabolic function, fatty acid balance, micronutrient deficiencies, toxic element exposure, and biochemical imbalances when interpreted alongside clinical history, diet, symptoms, medication use, and standard clinical evaluation.
